About the Artist

Vicki came to painting later in her life after visiting a gallery in Gruene, Texas where she had previously bought paintings. The artist who was running the gallery asked if she were a painter. After replying emphatically, "No", her second thought was, "How do I know, I've never tried." She contacted well known local and nationally recognized painter Lilli Pell to inquire about classes. Lilli imparted a basic knowledge of principals and techniques from which she was able to begin to paint. Vicki also had early training with Michigan artist Ellie Harold who taught her the basic principals of plein air painting. She has continued to paint and explore techniques that allow her to share her visual story with others.
